Crouching Tiger...by ~masonmouse

The full title should be, "Crouching Tiger, Poorly Hidden Butterfly" but that's a mouthful, as I fear the blissfully ignorant insect shall soon be.

Update:
I scrapped the original, inked a new version then did this vectorization and decided I liked it best amongst the three. Thanks for the nice comments on the first one that motivated me to go back and redo it from scratch to make it better.

As always, 100% drawn in Inkscape, except for the (second) original pencil sketch it is based on.

Do you mind if I use this as a loose reference for an Inkscape piece? I like the idea of having the grass and sky in a circle like that. ^_^ It will not look just the same, and the subjects on the grass will be totally different, of course.

I don't mind at all. In fact, if you can figure out how better to use the tiling feature, I'd love to know! The grass really didn't turn out like I wanted...

Lol, I started working on it some last night just to see if I could do it, and I haven't decided whether or not I want to put a pattern on the grass yet. I will definitely let you know if I figure something out, though.
